Maggie & Evan

view engagement photos »

They started the evening in Maggie’s mom’s backyard, the same place she grew up, making their photos even more meaningful. Their sweet, spoiled pup Kai joined in on the fun before we headed nearby to catch the sunset.

The evening was filled with laughter, genuine moments, and plenty of fun as these two went along with all my ideas. It was such a joy capturing their love, and I already can’t wait to celebrate with them on their wedding day!

Maggie and Evan’s engagement session was such a sweet celebration

Over the last 15 years of documenting my couples on the best day of their lives, I’ve met so many amazing people who quickly turned into friends. I hope that can be our story, too.

On the rare occasion that I’m not capturing a special moment, you can catch me spending my time with an incredible man who makes me laugh until I cry. I also tend to believe that a house is not a home until paw prints paint the floors. And admittedly, I cry at most movies, especially the romantic ones. Editing days consist of Dr. Pepper and take-out, while days off require country drives and visiting local wineries to listen to live music and take in a golden sunset. Hands down, it’s one of the best parts about Central Illinois.

A photographer who’s passionate about natural light, making sure my couples feel cared for, iced white mochas, and my boys Dustin, Murphy, and Auggie.

Hey, I’m Kate!
